I’m delighted to announce our Open Studios at Cockpit Arts in a few weeks:
Holborn: Studio W10: 28-30 November
Deptford: Studio 208: 5-7 December
Fri 11am-9pm, Sat-Sun 11am-6pm (Wine will be served on the Friday evening)
As ever, there will be the chance to see behind the scenes, view some new pieces and purchase some end-of-line items, in time for christmas! I’d love to hear what you think of my new ‘Keepsakes’ pieces with encased paper, the fragments reflected behind a faceted citrine (pictured above)
My work will also be on show at the Dazzle jewellery exhibition at the OXO tower gallery, South Bank, from 11 November until 9th January. Unfortunately Dazzle is not taking place in Manchester this year.
Last but not least, I’m once again running ‘Apéro Bijoux’, a one-night jewellery sale in Paris on Monday 17th November, 6.00-9.00 – at the wonderful Pollop Restaurant in the 2e Arrondissement. So please, do let me know if you happen to be in Paris that evening!
Many thanks to those who came to see us at the newly re-designed Goldsmiths Fair. The show was a great success – it really was an honour to exhibit alongside Britain’s most talented craftsmen and women.
Finally, have you watched Grayson Perry‘s ‘Who are you?’ program on Channel 4? In this unmissable 3-part series, the artist explores contemporary issues of identity, through the ancient art of portraiture . Through his candid questions, the people being portrayed reveal their journey to being true to themselves – in often difficult circumstances. I was absolutely moved by the couple dealing with Alzheimer’s disease and Perry’s representation of the disease as a creature with scissors, cutting up & destroying precious memories. The finished pieces are on show at the National Portrait Gallery.
I hope to see you soon!
With my best wishes,
