Bespoke | 'Histories' Gold Ring with Ruby and Star Sapphire

My second ‘Histories’ ring – Inspired by a previous commission, cast in sand from recycled gold.

This time, I worked closely with the client to design this substantial statement ring in 22ct gold, featuring their own cabochon ruby and star sapphire. The gems mean a lot to the couple and they were keen to include both, placed side by side, in a dynamic diagonal arrangement.

I was not able to actually sand cast this ring myself, due to the nature of the design, but I tried to emulate the sandcast texture, by working deeply into the surface of the ring – my brief was for the ring to look like it had been found in an archeological dig.

A lovely project which was created collaboratively with my clients and the result of many discussions - absolutely unique.
