Collaboration | Friendship charm bracelet | Raffle in aid of Stephen Lawrence Trust

By 21/06/2020 Contemporary Jewellery, Projects

*UPDATE* the raffle has now ended, huge thanks to everyone who donated and congratulations to the winners! Together we raised £1400 for the Stephen Lawrence Trust. You can watch the six of us drawing the winners on Jenny Llewellyn’s Instagram TV here.

I am excited to share details of our Studio E2F charm bracelet collaboration made during lockdown.

Jewellery friends – more than just colleagues!

If you have visited us at Cockpit Arts, you may be familiar with the 5 lovely jewellers I share a studio with: Laura Ngyou, Jenny Llewellyn, Sara Gunn, Anna Wales and Frances Wadsworth Jones. During lockdown we have missed working alongside each other very much.

For the Cockpit Festival we decided to each create an individual charm, to form a complete charm bracelet with 6 charms, as a symbol of togetherness and frienship despite our physical distance.

Here is a short video showing all 6 charms:

We each recorded where we are at, our inspiration and making process on film.

Splendid first-time video editing by Jenny Llewellyn who put together our charm bracelet film.

Separate, but together

This is the concept for my sterling silver charm, made up of two individual parts. Each has their own character, but together they form a complete circle. The design is a continuation of my Sunray collection.
